How to Reset AnyDesk Service Configuration

This guide explains how to reset the AnyDesk service configuration by renaming the service.conf file.

Note: Follow these steps carefully and ensure that AnyDesk is completely closed before proceeding.

Step 1: Enable Hidden Files and Folders

If hidden files and folders are already enabled on your computer, you can skip this step.

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Search for Folder Options or File Explorer Options.
3. Open File Explorer Options.

1. Go to the View tab.
2. Select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.

1. Click OK to save the changes.

Step 2: Completely Exit AnyDesk

Before modifying the configuration file, make sure AnyDesk is completely closed.

1. Go to the Windows taskbar.
2. Right-click the AnyDesk icon.
3. Select Quit.

Step 3: Rename the service.conf File

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Navigate to the following folder:

C:\ProgramData\AnyDesk

service.conf

service123.conf
