DNS Lookup

Query A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA, CAA and SRV records for any domain using DNS-over-HTTPS. Requests go directly from your browser to Cloudflare (with a Google fallback) — nothing is proxied through our servers.

Frequently asked questions

How does this DNS lookup work?

The tool sends your query directly to a public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver — Cloudflare first, with Google as a fallback — and renders the JSON answer in your browser.

Which record type should I pick?

Use A for IPv4 addresses, AAAA for IPv6 addresses and MX, TXT, NS or CNAME for mail, verification and alias records. Try ANY to see everything a resolver will return.

Why do I see NXDOMAIN or no answers?

NXDOMAIN means the domain name does not exist — usually a typo or an unregistered domain. Some record types, like ANY or CAA, may simply not be configured for the host.
