How to get a better estimate
- Enter every course that appears on your result card, including electives.

- For prior coursework, use total completed credits and your transcript GPA.
- Recalculate after retakes or grade replacements using your university rules.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between GPA and CGPA?
GPA is the weighted average for one semester or term. CGPA is the weighted average across every semester you have completed.
Do failed courses count in the GPA?
Yes. An F contributes zero grade points but still adds its credit hours to the denominator. Retake and grade-replacement rules vary by institution.
Can I use this for a 4.33 scale?
This calculator uses the common 4.0 grade-point table. If your transcript uses a 4.33 scale, use your institution's official grade values or the CGPA to Percentage converter.
