SIM Check via CNIC

See how many mobile SIMs are registered against your CNIC using Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) services. This guide just explains the official methods — nothing is sent from this site.

Method 1 — SMS 668

  1. Open your messaging app.
  2. Send your CNIC number (no dashes) as an SMS to 668.
  3. You receive a reply listing the SIMs registered against your CNIC.

Method 2 — Dial 668

Dial 668 on the SIM you own from any mobile across operators. Follow the IVR: the system identifies the SIM, then askes for the CNIC to check others.

Method 3 — PTA website

The PTA runs a "SIM Information System" page where you enter your 13-digit CNIC and receive the count of SIMs. From its tools menu: SIM Information. You can also check if you previously owned a number via the postpaid/former numbers checker. These services exist to combat SIM fraud, so if you see SIMs you don't recognise, report them to PTA through the official channels.

Checking a number to buy (MNP)

Before buying a used number, check which network it belongs to. Send an SMS with the text MNP to 668 followed by the 11-digit mobile number (without "0").
