UTM Link Builder

Build clean campaign tracking URLs for Google Analytics. Fill in the five standard UTM fields and copy a ready-to-share link.

How to use

  1. Paste the page URL you want to track.
  2. Fill in at least source, medium, and campaign.
  3. Copy the generated link into ads, emails, or social posts.

Naming convention

Use lowercase, hyphen-separated values so reports stay clean: e.g. source=newsletter, medium=email, campaign=launch-2026. Consistency makes filtering in GA4 far easier.

Frequently asked questions

Do UTM parameters hurt my SEO?

No, but they can create near-duplicate URLs. Google Analytics handles them fine, but if you're worried, keep tracking links for advertising only and use the GA4 'query parameter exclusions' list.

What info shows up in GA4?

Source and medium combine into traffic source; campaign, term, and content appear under Acquisition. You can slice every report by campaign in GA4.

Should I tag internal links?

Avoid UTM tags on internal site links — they pollute referrer data. Only use them on external campaigns from ads, emails, and social media.
