Prize Bond Check Guide
Prize bonds are government securities whose winners are picked by draw. Here's how they work and how to check your serial against the official result — safely and for free.
Prize bond serial checker (format)
This tool only normalises the format you type. It cannot tell you if a bond won — nobody can verify a prize without the official draw result for that denomination and date.
Denominations
Draws for most denominations are held four times a year — in January, April, July and October — by the State Bank of Pakistan.
How to check whether your bond won
- 1
Keep the physical bond intact
Never cut, tear or fold it. Keep the handwritten signature and the denomination intact — bonds in poor condition may be refused payouts.
- 2
Match the draw date
Prize bonds apply to the draw on or after their purchase date, and stay valid until they win or are encashed. Check you're looking at the right draw for your denomination.
- 3
Open the official result — never search "prize bond result"
Only the State Bank of Pakistan published list is authoritative. After every draw, SBP releases a full winner list (a long PDF/CSV). Download it directly from the SBP website rather than trusting screenshots sent on WhatsApp or social media.
- 4
Search your full serial in the list
Open the winner list and use the text search (Ctrl+F on desktop) with your complete serial, for example
1-234567. A partial match can give a false positive, so compare the full serial and denomination. - 5
Claim through a bank branch
Winners submit the original bond plus a government-issued ID through any scheduled bank branch. Prize money is credited to the account; there is an official claim window, so don't delay.
Avoid scams
No official check requires you to pay a fee, share your serial over WhatsApp, or "register" your bond online. Anyone promising to spot your win for a fee is trying to take your prize.Related tools
