Email Header Analyzer
Paste raw message headers to trace the delivery path, see SPF, DKIM and DMARC results, spot suspicious timestamps and find out why a message was delayed or marked as spam. Parsing stays in your browser.
In Gmail use Show original; in Outlook open Message properties. Folded lines that start with a space are joined automatically.
Frequently asked questions
What can I learn from email headers?
Headers show the delivery path, the servers and IP addresses involved, timestamps, SPF, DKIM and DMARC results, the reply address and the spam-filter verdict.
How do I copy headers?
In Gmail choose Show original from the message menu. In Outlook open the message properties and copy the internet headers. Paste the whole block into the box.
Is it safe to paste headers?
Parsing happens entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. Headers can still contain personal information, so review a report before sharing it publicly.
What does an authentication failure mean?
A failure means the receiving server could not verify that mechanism. DMARC failures can cause mail to be quarantined, while a DKIM failure after forwarding is often caused by the forwarder changing the message.
